Plasma Saber
We have over 14 years experience building and designing Plasma Sabers and we can assure you that our sabers are the most advanced designs in the world! The Plasma Saber blade is solid. It is a high power shock mounted neon type tube which contains a plasma gas which glows brightly when activated. The tubes are completely removable and interchangable. The handles are crafted from metal. The Plasma Saber looks amazingly similar to the real thing when activated. You won't realize how true this really is until you actually hold it in your hand. The Plasma Saber beam can be seen very well indoors or in low light conditions outdoors. It is very bright. A special g-force sensor is used inside our handle to sense when the saber is swung. The sensor produces a wooshing sound as you swing it! Colors available are Red, Blue, Green and Purple.
Sound Effects
Our Saber sound effects are the most advanced ever created. Push the activation button once and the plasma blade extends upward along with activation sound. Push again and it de-activates by retracting the Plasma along with sound. When activated it creates a low rumbling hum out of the rear of the handle. A special g-force sensor similar to those used in automobiles to deploy the airbags is used inside our Plasma Saber handle. The sensor measures the amount of force on the handle as its swung and the microprocesser creates a wooshing sound as the saber is being swung! The result is that every time the saber is swung a different wooshing sound is heard which changes depending on how hard you swing it. When its swung agressively the sound it produces is amazingly cool!
Plasma Tube
Our plasma tubes are 29 inches long and are constructed with a polycarbonate exterior casing. Ploycarbonate is far superior to Acrylic(plexiglass) since it will not crack or break. It can actually withstand the hit of a hammer without breaking. The inner Plasma Tube is made of glass and is fragile so we use special shock absorbing transparent spacers to keep the neon type tube centered within the polycarbonate casing. These allow the tube to be protected from breakage by any small impacts. The Plasma tube simply plugs into the handle using an electrical connector system and is then screwed tight by hand with its compression fitting. This keeps the tube securely fastened to the handle and makes swapping tubes a breeze.
Our tubes are specially designed for optimum light output so that they are as bright as possible. They will literally light up a dark room when activated! A high voltage power supply energizes the atoms within the plasma tube and makes the light glow. The bulb will never burn out and the neon will get redder with age. As long as the tube is not cracked, the bulb will last forever. Keep in mind that this is not to be used as a toy, for swordfighting but it is plenty tough enough to swing around since the neon tube is encased in a strong, clear shockmounted enclosure for protection. If the inner tube is broken, the gas escapes and the tube does not light anymore. Mock swordfighting can be done if you are very careful. We have tested our tubes by swordfighting with them for long periods without breaking as long as you dont actually hit them too hard. We offer no guarantees on plasma tubes for breakage. Please explain this to your child that it is glass and will break. If they don't understand, don't buy it. If a tube does become broken, we offer replacement plasma tubes at reasonable prices in many colors.
Handles
Our Plasma Saber handles are constructed from anodized brass and aluminumn. They are durable and feel comfortable in your hand when being swung. The handle contains nickel metal hydride rechargable batteries so that you can simply recharge the Plasma Saber when the batteries are low. A charging jack is mounted on the handle for this and a charger is included with each Plasma Saber so you can simply plug it into the wall when the batteries get low. A main power toggle switch is mounted on the handle to initialize the circuitry. Once this is done, the bargraph L.E.D.(light emitting diode) display is activated. By pushing the energizer button the Saber will now activate. Dual speakers are mounted in the rear of the handle for maximum sound transfer. The sound is highly tuned and very loud! The handle also seperates into two halves if its necessary to ever replace the rechargable batteries. Even though they are rechargable, they will eventually wear out after approximately a year or two of use.
Shipping
Each Plasma Saber is shipped in a beautiful hard plastic carrying case. The interior of the case is lined with egg carton foam to ensure that you have some way of transporting your saber with you wherever you go. This also ensures that the plasma tubes do not break during shipping. The case dimensions are 50 inches by 9 inches by 4 inches.
